Location:
Olds, Alberta (on-site, travel required throughout Central Alberta). Travel reimbursement: $0.57 per km.

Type:
Full-Time, Permanent, Frontline
Salary: $27.28 – $30.51 per hour (negotiated based on education and experience).
Hours:
40 hours per week, with availability for select afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Description
McMan is a not-for-profit agency operating since 1975, delivering comprehensive programs across Alberta. The Foster Care program in Olds seeks a dedicated and highly skilled support worker to ensure children and youth (ages 0–18) receive safe, caring homes and support until a permanent solution is achieved.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Foster Parent training plans.
Travel to Foster Homes located in Central Alberta at least twice a month.
Ensure the continuous physical, emotional, and social well‑being of designated children.
Facilitate and support youth’s relationships with birth and extended families.
Ensure culturally based services are available to all children in the homes.
Request and coordinate psychiatric, psychological, and academic assessments when appropriate.
Maintain treatment goals, tasks, and report on measurable outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Post secondary diploma at minimum; preferred degree directly related to Human Services from an approved institution.
Required 2 years of frontline human services experience; preferred 3 years of frontline family work related to human services.
Proof of Membership in a Professional Association (when applicable).
Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous Culture.
Knowledge of parent/child relationships and family dynamics.
Basic First Aid Level C with Adult, Child, and Infant CPR & AED.
Suicide Intervention Training & De‑Escalation Training.
Intervention Record Check & Criminal Record Check with the vulnerable sector.
Class 5 driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract, and reliable vehicle for occasional client transportation.
Knowledge of the Child, Youth and Family Enhancement Act.
Experience with in the Signs of Safety framework is an asset.
Preferred experience in the CFS System.
