Family Support Worker

Position: Full-Time Family Support Worker Role
Make a difference with McMan as a Full-Time Family Development Worker in Red Deer, Alberta. Provide critical support for families by enhancing life skills and guiding community resource connections.

In this role, you will be part of McMan's longstanding efforts to facilitate healthy family dynamics and relationships. The Family Development Program addresses various issues families face, with a focus on coaching parents and engaging youth. A diploma and frontline experience are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise interactions between children and families

• Engage with youth and enhance their support networks

• Link families to important community resources

• Facilitate cultural learning and engagement

• Conduct assessments and develop intervention strategies

Requirements:

• Diploma required;
Human Services degree preferred

• Minimum 1 year of frontline experience with families

• Basic First Aid Level C with CPR & AED certification

• Knowledge of Indigenous Culture considered an asset

• Clean Class 5 driver's license and reliable transport
