Primary Responsibilities

As a PUF SLP, you will provide essential early intervention services within our Pre‑Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs. Key duties include:

  • Classroom‑Based Intervention: Delivering speech‑language therapy directly within Pre‑K and Kindergarten classroom activities to support functional communication.
  • Comprehensive Assessments: Conducting formal and informal assessments for children registered in RDCRS Pre‑Kindergarten programs.
  • Collaborative Planning: Liaising closely with teachers, educational/therapeutic assistants, social workers, specialists, and parents as a core member of the child’s multidisciplinary program planning team.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Completing detailed assessment and treatment reports (including year‑end summaries) for parents and internal/external professionals.
  • Capacity Building: Providing targeted professional development to teachers and educational assistants to enhance classroom support.
