Human Services Worker - Caregiver Assessment

Join our team as a Caregiver Practitioner in Wetaskiwin and Red Deer.

This role offers the chance to make a difference by supporting and training foster caregivers for children in need.

Operating as a Human Services Worker 5, you will play a crucial role in assessing, licensing, and orienting foster caregivers. This position emphasizes ongoing support and evaluations, ensuring families can provide the best possible care for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and support kinship and foster caregivers

• Approve licensing and orientation for new caregivers

• Conduct ongoing assessments and Quality of Care evaluations

• Develop individualized Support Plans for child placements

• Facilitate access to dispute resolution for caregivers

Requirements:

• Registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers

• Bachelor of Social Work with at least 1 year experience

• Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks are required

• Valid driver’s license and commercial driver’s abstract

• Strong assessment and writing abilities
