Position: Peer Support Worker for GROW Program
Become a Peer Support Worker with Open Door Group in Red Deer, Alberta, providing vital support to individuals facing barriers. This full-time role focuses on community outreach and client-centered services.

This permanent Peer Support Worker position supports Open Door Group's GROW Program, assisting participants with chronic unemployment and homelessness. You will play a crucial role in offering practical and emotional support while working closely with Case Managers. Responsibilities include helping clients access community resources and developing strategies for daily living and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emotional and practical support to participants

• Assist clients in accessing community resources

• Help prepare participants for appointments

• Facilitate groups, workshops, and engagement activities

• Offer wraparound case management to clients

Requirements:

• Peer Support Worker Certification required

• Minimum one year of experience in a related field

• Knowledge of harm reduction principles

• CPR and First Aid certification needed

• Valid driver's license and vehicle are assets
