Position: Settlement Counsellor for New Immigrants
Help newcomers settle into Canada as a Settlement Counsellor with Catholic Social Services. Utilize your assessment skills to create effective service plans and provide vital community resources.

Join Catholic Social Services as a Settlement Counsellor, where you will directly assist new immigrants and refugees. Using your strong interviewing skills, you'll evaluate client needs and coordinate services to ensure a smooth transition to life in Canada.

Your role will include advocating on behalf of clients and establishing vital connections within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine service needs of clients

• Facilitate access to shelters, food, and healthcare services

• Advocate for clients in various settings and institutions

• Organize settlement-related programs for newcomer families

• Gather feedback from clients to enhance service delivery

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in Human Services or related field

• 2 years of relevant experience with newcomers

• Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office

• Current driver's license and personal vehicle for transport

• Fluent in Arabic, Kinyarwanda, Swahili, or Spanish preferred
