Join the Native Counselling Services of Alberta as a Full-Time Wellness Coordinator in Red Deer. Your focus will be on empowering individuals through healing plans that recognize and address historic trauma.
This role is designed for a highly motivated individual passionate about community support. You will help foster resilience and self-determination in Indigenous individuals, while developing supportive partnerships that facilitate holistic healing. Maintaining program standards in alignment with contractual agreements is critical to this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and implement personalized healing plans for residents
• Partner with community resources to enhance support systems
• Ensure adherence to program requirements and standards
• Aid individuals in reconciling the legacy of colonialism
• Adapt work hours based on the needs of group members
Requirements:
• In-depth knowledge of Indigenous communities and cultures
• Familiarity with the effects of colonization on health
• Social work degree or substantial human resources experience
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
• Valid Alberta class 5 driver's license essential
