Position: Wellness Coordinator for Indigenous Support
Make a meaningful impact as a Wellness Coordinator with Native Counselling Services of Alberta. This full-time position focuses on assisting Indigenous residents to self-determine and create healing plans that foster positive health changes.

At Native Counselling Services of Alberta, we assist Indigenous individuals in overcoming barriers to holistic living. The Wellness Coordinator will collaborate with partners to develop support systems, while ensuring compliance with program requirements. The role is crucial in addressing the lingering effects of colonialism and historic trauma, promoting resilience and self-determination in individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build individual resilience against colonial impacts

• Collaborate with partners to create support systems

• Ensure adherence to contractual program requirements

• Develop and implement comprehensive healing plans

• Facilitate group sessions and discussions with residents

Requirements:

• Experience with Indigenous communities and cultures

• Knowledge of historic trauma and colonization impact

• Degree in social work or extensive group facilitation experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Valid driver's license and Criminal Record Check
