City Wide Towing has an opening available for a full time Medium Duty Wrecker Operator at our Red Deer office. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional towing and recovery services to our clients. This position requires a commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and the ability to operate various towing equipment effectively. Responsibilities:
Operate towing vehicles safely and efficiently to recover vehicles as needed.Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients during their time of need.Perform routine maintenance checks on towing equipment to ensure optimal performance.Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding job status and updates.Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while on the job site.Assist with minor automotive repairs when necessary.Use and manage E-Logs.Required Qualifications:
Minimum Class 5 Driver’s LicenseCommercial driving experienceMechanical aptitudeProven experience in customer service roles, preferably in the automotive or towing industry.Strong knowledge of Red Deer and areaExcellent verbal and written communicationAble to maintain records and provide reportsRecent clear criminal record check (employer-paid)Recent driver’s abstract (employee-paid)Must pass drug, alcohol, and fit-to-work testAble to work independently and with a teamLegally entitled to work in CanadaPreferred Qualifications:
Air brakes certification is an asset (Q Endorsement)Previous towing experience is an assetAbility to take direction, learn and work independently as well as part of a teamMotivated and energetic team player with an attention to detail and great work ethicWorking Conditions/Physical Demands:
Rotating shifts which include days, nights, evenings, weekends and holidaysPerform moderate to heavy tasks for long periods of timeWork primarily outdoors in all weatherLift/push/pull up to 100lbs regularlyTravel may include local, provincial, and inter-provincial routesMay assist at accident scenes with emergency personnelWe thank all applicants for applying; only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
