ABOUTTHE ROLE
Ready Mix Drivers are responsible for the primary day-to-day delivery of Ready Mix Concrete to Job Sites within the Medicine Hat Area, homeowner and industry clients. In this role you will manage customer relationships, provide great service with a friendly attitude, and ensure customers receive high‑level delivery and product from Amrize. This customer‑facing role requires a service‑oriented mindset and a highly professional approach.
WHATYOULL ACCOMPLISH
- Maintain equipment by performing daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and keeping equipment clean inside and out.
- Build and maintain relationships of trust with customers in the assigned geography and own their satisfaction.
- Deliver consistent and reliable customer service for a positive, hassle‑free experience.
- Navigate Medicine Hat and surrounding areas for on‑time deliveries.
- Maintain strong working relationships with logistics, operations, and fellow operators.
- Work a flexible schedule, including different shifts, weekends, and/or evenings.
- Understand and obey traffic rules and regulations for commercial vehicles.
- Operate electronic devices such as tablets and GPS.
- Participate in Amrize Ready Mix Training Program.
- Commit to health, safety, and environmental policies and promote a culture of safety.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Training/
Certifications:
Class 3Q (Air Brakes) or Class 1Q – 5‑year driver abstract required. Must be sent with resume. - Work Experience:
Preference given to those with construction and heavy equipment experience; knowledge of building materials industry is an asset. - Ability to drive a manual shift truck transmission.
- Construction and off‑road experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of the city of Medicine Hat.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform tasks on electronic devices such as tablets.
- Relationship‑building with external customers and internal personnel.
- Problem‑solving and decision‑making ability.
- Ability to multitask in a quick‑paced environment.
- Strong sense of teamwork.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
