Winter Seasonal Operator, Highway Maintenance

You will be responsible for winter maintenance of Alberta highways, using various trucks and heavy equipment.

Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.) Work outside in all weather conditions

Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement Clear 3-year driver’s abstract Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset, training provided

As we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required

Will be provided a base hourly rate of 26.75 to $31/hr based on experience Eligible to receive premiums of $5/hour, when operating a tandem or triaxle snow plow Eligible to receive premiums of $3/hour, when operating a 2 or 3 ton plow truck Operators will be eligible to receive a premium of $1.50/hr when operating Class 1 equipment
