Operate highway maintenance equipment in Ponoka, Alberta, supporting snow removal, road upkeep, and emergency responses. Report to the Foreman.
Mainroad Alberta Contracting LP seeks an Equipment Operator for civil infrastructure maintenance. You will support highway operations across provincial routes near Lacombe, Ponoka, Red Deer, and Wetaskiwin counties. Duties include equipment servicing, traffic control, grading, and drainage maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform snow removal and winter highway operations
- Maintain highway surfaces, shoulders, drainage, and right-of-ways
- Support traffic control and emergency responses
- Service equipment and investigate reported malfunctions
- Install and repair pavement markings and signs
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Class 1 or 3 Driver's License and clean abstract
- Previous equipment operating and physical labour experience
- Availability for shifts, call-outs, weekends, and overtime
- Ability to perform heavy labour in extreme weather
