About Overwatch Mission Critical

Overwatch is a service-disabled Veteran-owned small business (SDVOB) certified through the National Veterans Business Development Council (NVBDC), offering construction professional services, talent acquisition, and general contractor services for the mission-critical infrastructure industry.

Our mission is the construction and management of state-of-the-art data centers with the precision and reliability this industry demands. From high-end engineers to seasoned professionals, we deploy the people you need to get your data center off the ground. At Overwatch, it's more than a job. It's a purpose.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Construction Manager to support the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data center construction projects.

The ideal candidate is a proactive construction professional who demonstrates strong ownership, technical competence, sound judgment, and the ability to independently drive project execution.

This position requires more than monitoring construction progress. The successful candidate must actively identify constraints, challenge schedules, coordinate stakeholders, hold contractors accountable, and drive issues to resolution.

We are looking for someone who anticipates problems before they become critical, takes responsibility for assigned deliverables, and consistently follows through on commitments.

Key Responsibilities Construction Management & Field Execution
  • Provide daily oversight of construction activities, including structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and associated infrastructure work.
  • Monitor construction sequencing, workface readiness, trade coordination, and productivity.
  • Identify field constraints and actively coordinate their resolution.
  • Verify construction progress against approved drawings, specifications, and project milestones.
  • Conduct field walks to validate reported progress and identify potential risks.
  • Coordinate with developers, general contractors, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of project priorities, critical activities, and upcoming milestones.
Schedule Management & Risk Mitigation
  • Review and challenge contractor schedules, including Primavera P6 baseline and recovery schedules.
  • Understand critical-path activities, float consumption, schedule dependencies, and construction sequencing.
  • Identify risks to milestone dates and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
  • Validate contractor-reported progress against actual field conditions.
  • Track near-term activities through detailed two-, three-, and six-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Escalate potential schedule impacts early, supported by facts, analysis, and recommended recovery actions.
  • Drive accountability for recovery commitments and verify their implementation.
MEP Systems & Commissioning

Demonstrate working knowledge of mission-critical mechanical and electrical systems, including:

  • Medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution.
  • Transformers, switch gear, UPS systems, generators, and downstream power distribution.
  • Chilled-water systems, cooling equipment, and associated infrastructure.
  • Fire protection, life safety, and building management systems.
  • Data hall infrastructure and equipment readiness.
  • Coordinate construction completion with commissioning and turnover requirements.
  • Understand the relationship between system completion, energization, functional testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and operational readiness.
  • Identify construction and commissioning interface risks and drive timely resolution.
  • Coordinate punch list closure, quality verification, and turnover documentation.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
  • Hold developers, general contractors, and other delivery stakeholders accountable for agreed commitments.
  • Challenge incomplete information, unsupported assumptions, and unrealistic schedules professionally and constructively.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings with clearly defined actions, owners, and due dates.
  • Identify gaps in responsibilities and drive alignment across construction, commissioning, operations, and technology deployment teams.
  • Maintain productive working relationships while protecting the owner’s schedule, quality, safety, and commercial interests.
  • Escalate unresolved issues appropriately, with supporting facts and actionable recommendations.
Project Controls, Reporting & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate action-item, constraint, risk, and issue logs.
  • Provide concise, fact-based…
