Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is expanding its mission‑critical group and is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Lead to support major data center and advanced‑technology projects nationwide. This role oversees the full mechanical commissioning lifecycle — from pre‑functional checks and system startup through integrated systems testing and turnover.

You’ll work closely with construction, engineering, and operations teams to ensure all mechanical systems perform reliably under load and meet project requirements, safety standards, and owner expectations. The ideal candidate has deep experience with large‑scale mechanical infrastructure and thrives in high‑tempo, technically complex environments.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and execute commissioning activities for mechanical systems, including HVAC equipment, CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, hydronics, heat rejection, and building automation interfaces.
  • Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and test scripts across all phases.
  • Coordinate with design engineers, subcontractors, and owner’s reps to resolve issues and validate system performance.
  • Analyze mechanical performance data, track issues, and drive closure across cross‑functional teams.
  • Oversee startup, functional testing, and integrated systems testing (IST) for mission‑critical environments.
  • Ensure documentation, reporting, and turnover packages meet contractual and operational standards.
  • Maintain a high level of quality control, safety, and compliance throughout commissioning phases.
What You Bring
  • Strong background in mechanical commissioning within data centers, semiconductor fabs, hospitals, or other high‑reliability facilities.
  • Proficiency with mechanical systems testing, TAB coordination, and controls/BMS integration.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both field teams and engineering stakeholders.
  • Experience leading commissioning efforts on large, fast‑paced construction programs is highly preferred.
Why This Role
  • High visibility with both project leadership and the owner’s team.
  • Opportunity to influence full‑lifecycle reliability of complex mechanical systems.
  • Long‑term pipeline of mission‑critical projects with a stable, well‑resourced team.
