Tax Professional - Franchise Location

H&R Block is looking for an experienced Tax Professional to join a seasonal team at a franchise location. The role involves building client relationships, preparing accurate tax returns, and providing IRS support with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face-to-face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, and email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• Generate business growth and increase client retention by offering additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support, including tax notice services and audit representation.
• Mentor and support teammates.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone, chat
• Effective communication in person, via phone, and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

$17.00 – $35.00 per hour.
