Five Below is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate to contribute to a dynamic team that delivers a fun and engaging shopping experience. This role supports store goals while maintaining customer focus and operational excellence.

• Greet and assist customers promptly:
  Approach and acknowledge customers, provide assistance, and handle multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs:
  Share product knowledge, answer questions, direct customers to merchandise, and offer recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions:
  Inform customers about current events and promotions to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns:
  Address issues and use product knowledge to offer alternatives, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management:
  Inform management about restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback promptly.
• Support team and company goals:
  Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives and maintain a positive work environment.

• At least 16 years old
• Available to work a flexible schedule
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (cash registers, handheld and mobile devices)
• Good communicator who can engage with customers
• Able to handle customer interactions courteously and professionally
• Ability to gather information and solve problems using basic information-gathering skills
• Willingness to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training

• Frequently operate the cash register
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to 5-10 feet high
• Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise
• Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and on the sales floor
• Communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by phone; exchange accurate information
• Move across the sales floor assisting customers and retrieving/putting away merchandise
• Work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts and travel as required
• Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and SOPs
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for up to 80% of the time
