Security Officer

Job Description

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Global Security Officer to provide a professional level of customer service and security presence. The successful candidate will proactively patrol Mayo Clinic property and security sensitive areas, assist visitors, patients, and staff as needed, and help prevent and deter fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, etc.

Responsibilities include:

• Patrolling Mayo Clinic property and security sensitive areas
• Assisting visitors, patients, and staff as needed
• Preventing and deterring fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, etc.
• Utilizing security vehicles on a regular or occasional basis
• Enforcing Mayo policies and responding to complaints and service calls for wrongdoing
• Preparing incident reports/activity logs
• Working in the Security control centers

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school degree or GED equivalent
• Associate's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or a related field preferred
• Minimum two years of experience in a customer service, military, security position and/or a similar role
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Strong sense of customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
