Laboratory Technician
 
Wolviston Management Services are delighted to be supporting our amazing client, a globally respected organisation recognised for technical excellence, safety and quality assurance, in the appointment of a Laboratory Technician.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly professional laboratory environment, supporting critical testing, inspection and certification activities across a range of materials, products and processes.

The Role

As a Laboratory Technician, you will support laboratory testing and analysis activities in line with accredited procedures and international standards. Working closely with Engineers, Surveyors and technical specialists, you will ensure accurate, timely and compliant test results that underpin customer confidence and regulatory assurance.
This role would suit a methodical, quality-driven individual with a strong appreciation for laboratory discipline, data integrity and safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities
 
Prepare samples and carry out laboratory testing in accordance with approved methods, procedures and standards
Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring readiness and reliability at all times
Accurately record test data, observations and results within laboratory systems and reports
Support quality control, audits and accreditation requirements (e.g. ISO/UKAS where applicable)
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety and environmental compliance within the laboratory
Assist with investigation of non-conformances, test anomalies or equipment issues
Work collaboratively with technical teams to support inspection, certification and assurance activities
Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes and practices  What We're Looking For
 
Previous experience working within a laboratory, testing or technical environment (materials, mechanical, chemical or similar)
Relevant qualification in a scientific, engineering or technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
Strong attention to detail with a clear understanding of data accuracy and traceability
Familiarity with laboratory equipment, testing procedures and safe systems of work
Comfortable working to defined procedures, standards and quality systems
Good IT and reporting skills
