General Service Technician

O2 Employment Services is partnering with a local automotive repair company to find a dependable and motivated General Service Technician in Redding, CA.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone with basic mechanical knowledge who enjoys hands-on work and is looking to grow their skills in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, and willing to assist with a variety of automotive, truck, and trailer repairs.

• $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, day shift
• Occasional Saturdays as needed
• Opportunities for growth and continued training

• Basic automotive or mechanical knowledge required
• Previous automotive repair or service experience preferred
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and part replacements
• Familiarity with automotive, truck, or trailer systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a shop environment
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting

• Perform routine automotive maintenance and general service repairs
• Remove and replace automotive parts and components as needed
• Assist with basic repairs on cars, trucks, and trailers
• Perform oil changes, fluid checks, and other preventative maintenance services
• Assist experienced technicians with mechanical repairs and troubleshooting
• Use hand and power tools to complete assigned repairs and maintenance tasks
• Follow established shop procedures and maintain an efficient workflow
• Inspect vehicles and report potential maintenance or repair concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform additional shop and service duties as assigned
