Design Assistant

O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable local home design company to find their next Design Assistant in Redding, CA.

This part-time opportunity offers the potential to grow into a full-time position and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, has an eye for design, and is comfortable balancing creative and administrative responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, personable, and interested in kitchen and bath design. This position combines customer service, design assistance, estimating, and order coordination in a professional showroom environment.

• $22.00–$27.00 per hour (DOE)
• Part-time with potential for full-time growth
• Monday–Friday

• Welcome customers into the showroom and assist with product selections and design questions
• Work with homeowners, contractors, and designers to understand project needs and preferences
• Use design software to create kitchen and bathroom cabinet and counter top layouts
• Prepare accurate estimates and quotes based on customer selections and approved designs
• Assist the sales team with bids, estimates, and larger projects
• Place and track vendor orders while coordinating deliveries and communicating updates
• Maintain organized customer records, project details, and order documentation
• Keep the showroom and design areas clean, organized, and welcoming
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the design and ordering process
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Comfortable learning and using design software and other computer programs
• Interest in kitchen and bath design, cabinetry, countertops, and home improvement
• Previous experience in design, cabinetry, construction, estimating, or a related field preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems
• Professional, friendly, and dependable with a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn new products, software, and industry tools
