Candidate Requirements

Must have active CA licensure
Minimum Board Status:
Board Eligible
Required

Certifications:

CA DEA, PALS
Must be California Children's Services (CCS) paneled
Clean Background/Malpractice History
Covid Vaccine Required
Must have active staff membership at TJC-accredited hospital without privilege restriction

Job Details

Schedule:

Monday through Sunday 24 hour coverage - Expected to do daily rounds and as needed, see nursery/pediatric admission before 4pm. Newly admitted nursery patients must be seen within 18 hours of birth. Pediatric patients must be seen within 12 hours of admission.

Trauma Level/Designation:
Level II Trauma Facility
Average number of admissions per day: 4 pediatric patients and 7 newborn/nursery patients

Required Procedures:
Pediatric resuscitation and intubation

EMR:
Cerner Care B

Physician will be expected to provide resident teaching/precepting. Physician must have an Active status at a hospital with no restrictions on pediatric privileges.

Credentialing: 30-60 days upon receipt of fully completed application

Compensation for this opportunity is highly competitive at $1800/shift for 24hr call and $175/hr for callback (after 4 hours gratis).
