Position Details:
Patient Population: 20-30 patients per day
Setting: Acute Care, Level 2 Trauma Center (acts as Level
1)
Responsibilities:
ED call, rounds, and consultations
Managing general orthopedic (upper/lower extremities) and traumatic orthopedic injuries
Required Procedures: Hand surgery experience preferred
EMR System: Cerner Care B
Support Staff: Hospital-based APPs supporting ortho-spine service line
Days Per Month: Ongoing as needed
On-Call/Weekends: Required for 24-hour shifts
Submission Requirements:
Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Active California License (required)
Fellowship trained in Orthopedic Trauma (required)
Current DEA
California fluoroscopy permit
Clean malpractice history preferred
Availability for 24-hour on-call shifts (7a-7a)
