Sign-on: $15,000. This is a full-time opportunity to launch and lead the first in-house eye care service offering for Shasta Cascade Heath Centers in rural Northern California. Open to both recent graduates and experienced professionals, this position allows you to build or expand hands-on experience in clinical care and practice management from day one, with the chance to impact an underserved community.

WhatYou'll Do
As a full-time Optometrist at SCHC, you will perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular diseases, prescribe corrective lenses, and co-manage surgical cases in collaboration with ophthalmology. You will lead and expand the newly established Optometry Department, helping to shape its services and impact within the community. You will participate in provider meetings and support community outreach initiatives aligned with SCHC’s mission.
This position offers flexible scheduling with no weekends, holidays, or on-call duties, and a competitive salary range of $145,000-$165,000 depending on experience.

Minimum Qualifications- Optometry license in the state of California
- Doctor of Optometry degree
- Commitment to serving underserved populations
- Experience or interest in full-scope optometry and ocular disease management
- Competitive salary ($145K–$165K DOE)
- $15,000 sign-on bonus
