MA/Nurse Trainer - LVN (Healthcare)

Base Salary: $27.00 - $39.00 / hour

JOB SUMMARY

The MA/Nursing Trainer is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality clinical and technical education for Medical Assistants (MAs) and nursing staff across all departments and skill levels. Serving as a primary clinical educator, this role supports onboarding, ongoing competency development, and continuing education to ensure staff practice safely, confidently, and in alignment with organizational standards. The Trainer assesses learning needs;

develops and maintains structured curricula, lesson plans, training schedules, and educational materials; and delivers instruction through classroom-based education, hands‑on skills labs, and on‑the-job coaching, covering scope‑of‑practice appropriate clinical skills for MAs, LVNs, and RNs, as well as foundational to advanced training on electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical workflows. They evaluate learner performance आउने through observation, competency validation, and feedback, adapting instructional approaches to meet diverse learning styles, while maintaining expert knowledge of clinical practice, regulatory requirements, and AOL(C) ct systems.

Additionally, the Trainer collaborates with operational, quality, and informatics teams to support practice standardization, workflow improvement, and continuous learning initiatives.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and manage a continuous clinical and technical training program that advances organizational goals, quality improvement, patient safety, and EHR/clinical workflow proficiency.
  • Assess learning needs and develop, maintain, and update training plans, curricula, and educational materials aligned with organizational priorities, regulatory requirements, and scope-of-practice standards.
  • Develop instructional content and job aids for clinical skills, workflows, diagnostic equipment, EHRs, and clinical documentation to ensure consistent, compliant system use.
  • Deliver instruction through multiple modalities to support effective adult learning, including classroom-based education, skills labs, on-the-job, and virtual Seas training.
  • Conduct ongoing competency assessment and skills validation for MA and nursing staff, identify learning gaps, and provide remediation or additional training as needed.
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain onboarding, refresher, continuing education, and annual competency programs aligned with licensure, scope of practice, organizational standards, and clinical policy updates.
  • Collaborate with clinical operations, nursing leadership, quality, IT, EHR, and Informatics teams to integrate system updates, workflow changes, and practice improvements into training and educational materials.
  • Coordinate and schedule training activities, including desk-side coaching and unit-based education, to support operational needs with minimal workflow disruption.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams and continuous improvement initiatives to support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Serve as a article education resource and role model through mentorship, professional leadership, and knowledge sharing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of clinical practice standards and scope-of-practice requirements for Medical Assistants (MAs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs).
