Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Civil Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and managing projects related to renewable energy, particularly biogas production through anaerobic digestion.
- Developing and optimizing piping design for various applications, including but not limited to biogas transportation.
- Overseeing grading and concrete work, ensuring all projects adhere to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Creating and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and plans.
- Collaborating with the finance team to manage project costs, develop budgets, and ensure financial feasibility.
- Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Liaising with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Continually monitoring and evaluating the performance of energy generation systems, making adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Civil Engineer position will have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or further education is a plus.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with specific experience in renewable energy, agriculture, and energy generation.
- Proficiency in the design and operation of anaerobic digestors and biogas systems.
- A strong background in piping design, grading, and concrete work.
- The ability to create and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical team members.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to sustainability and a passion for renewable energy.
