Transportation/Bridge Project Manager (Project Manager-Transportation/Bridges)

Join GHD’s fast‑growing bridge engineering practice as a Project Manager‑Transportation/Bridges in the US West Region. This role manages design and delivery of transportation projects, develops sales proposals, and leads regional growth strategy. The position can be located in any GHD office in California.

• Management & Design of exciting transportation projects
• Development of sales & marketing proposals and materials
• Leadership of regional transportation growth strategy
• Project Management:
  Manage a portfolio of projects while reporting to senior colleagues
• Client & Customer Management (External):
  Manage important client relationships with guidance from senior colleagues
• Improvement/Innovation:
  Identify shortcomings and implement improvements within the organization’s change management program
• Culture of Innovation:
  Drive a culture of innovation through multistakeholder solutions such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons
• Engineering Solutions Design:
  Design engineering solutions and the associated validation process to enable realization of a design brief
• Engineering Standards Specification:
  Draft engineering standards and specifications and evaluate their effectiveness within own engineering discipline
• Knowledge Management:
  Develop processes, create best practices, and deliver internal knowledge‑sharing sessions to capture and share knowledge among colleagues
• Technical Developments Recommendation:
  Discuss and recommend more complex or innovative technical developments to improve quality of the website/portal/application software and supporting infrastructure
• Professional Supervision:
  Lead and oversee the provision of professional supervision to support practitioners’ professional development
• Health, Safety, and Environment:
  Monitor and review performance against health, safety, and environment key performance indicators and take action to improve performance and resolve noncompliance with the organization’s HSE policies

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or similar
• Minimum 10+ years experience in transportation/bridge project management
• PE in State of CA required
