Under the general direction of the Senior Forest Property Appraiser, the Associate Forest Property Appraiser (AFPA) monitors forest products market conditions to prepare preliminary harvest values as required by the Revenue and Taxation Code, Part 18.5 of Division 2. The position supports the Business Tax and Fee Division (BTFD) programs to ensure uniform administration of the timber yield tax throughout the State of California and effective valuation, collection, and distribution of yield tax revenue to each county where timber is harvested.

This position may require travel up to 65% of the time.

• Employer participates in E‑Verify and will provide federal government with Form I‑9 information to confirm authorized work.
• Position requires employee to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a background investigation.
• Travel may be required up to 65% of the time.
• Position requires employee to have and maintain a valid CA Drivers License & CA RPF license issued by the BOF.
