Far Northern Regional Center is seeking a Licensed Psychologist who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health challenges.
Location:
Redding, CA or Chico, CA. Full-Time.
Base Pay Range: $103,000 - $120,000 per year.
Role SummaryThis role offers a unique opportunity to support individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs by providing psychological services, emphasizing testing and assessment of persons with developmental disabilities. Conduct psychological evaluations to determine program eligibility, establish differential diagnoses, identify opportunities for intervention and determine client therapeutic needs.
Key Responsibilities- Administration and interpretation of psychological tests and assessment instruments to evaluate developmental status, intelligence, motor and language skills, perceptual/sensory capabilities, memory, abstract thinking and related characteristics.
- Preparation of psychological reports; consultation interdisciplinary and eligibility review processes as direct.
- May conduct court ordered psychological evaluations provides expert testimony.
- Provide crisis intervention support in collaboration with county mental health agencies.
- Monitor psychotherapeutic services and ensure quality care for clients.
- Consult with case management, clinical teams, and community partners.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to plan and evaluate services.
- Train and mentor staff and community service providers.
- Doctorate in Psychology and active California Psychologist License
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience conducting psychological evaluations and assessments, including competency evaluations
- Training and/or experience in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) highly desired
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Experience in programmatic coordination of behavioral health services.
- Strong written communication skills for comprehensive report writing.
