The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients to enhance their ability to perform daily living activities. This includes creating individualized treatment and discharge plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure continuity of care.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients per physician orders/referrals
- Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans
- Accurately document all services and maintain compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Supervise and guide COTAs as per practice acts and facility policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to achieve optimal outcomes
- Ensure adherence to all safety, infection control, and professional practice standards
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD)
- Active California OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care
