Pay: $55 to $63 per hour
Position SummaryPreference given to candidates available for a full schedule through the end of January and the first week of February.
Day shift, 12-hour shifts.
Start date:
1/17.
Minimum compliance requirements must be met prior to starting; full compliance profile must be completed within two weeks after the start date.
Position is Per Diem for 26 weeks.
Required Compliance Items:
- Active nursing license verification
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications as applicable
- Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or attestation of vaccination/declination
The MRI Technologist performs a variety of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures on patients of all ages to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. The technologist ensures high-quality images, patient safety, and compliance with all established protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and department protocols.
- Verify patient identity, obtain pertinent medical history, and ensure proper screening for MRI safety.
- Position patients and operate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, maintaining effective communication throughout the exam.
- Review images for quality and accuracy before submitting to the radiologist for interpretation.
- Maintain accurate records of exams performed, contrast usage, and patient information.
- Follow radiation and MRI safety protocols, including magnet zone regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of MRI equipment and work area.
- Assist with training new technologists or students when assigned.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- Certification/Licensure:
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
- State licensure as applicable.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience preferred.
