Description:
Unit provides rehabilitation services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
The facility is stroke certified and primarily treats patients with cardiac, stroke, orthopedic, neuro, and medical-surgical conditions.
There is a pediatric ward with a low volume case load, and a neonatal ICU, but experience in these areas is not required for travelers.
Physical therapists are expected to work four 10-hour shifts from 7 AM to 5:30 PM.Weekend work is required every third weekend, with potential for every other weekend.
Holidays are included in the permanent staff rotation for all modalities.
Staffing is available seven days a week with a team leader overseeing the team in the absence of the manager.
No floating to other units is required.
Common diagnoses treated include cardiac issues, stroke, orthopedic injuries, and neuro conditions.
The facility ensures adequate staffing for weekends and holidays.
A professional appearance is required with specific dress attire provided.
Charting is done using the Cerner system.
