Key Responsibilities

The Lead Inspector is responsible for recording all functions on applicable paperwork in accordance with the specific requirements. Responsible for Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) of Aircraft Components. Have the skills and knowledge to set‑up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. Be familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method. Possess basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.

The ability to lead others effectively with integrity.

Key Deliverables of the Role
  • Accurate and Compliant Documentation – Maintain complete and accurate inspection records, logs, and reports.
  • Accurate and Timely Part Inspections – Conduct thorough and reliable NDT inspections on aircraft components, ensuring integrity and compliance with safety standards.
  • Non‑Conformance Management – Identify, document, and segregate non‑conforming parts.
  • Tooling and Equipment Accuracy – Ensure inspection tools are calibrated and used properly.
  • Regulatory & Safety Adherence – Maintain compliance with FAA regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Report any safety hazards or violations.
  • Continuous Improvement Contribution & Flexibility – Suggest process improvements to enhance quality or efficiency.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Provide clear, timely updates on inspection status and issues.
Requirements Required

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Technical Competencies
  • Mechanical Aptitude – Demonstrated examples (on the job or outside of work) showing competency to work with hands.
  • Manual Dexterity – Ability to perform a job that requires detailed handwork.
  • Experience with Process Standards – Demonstrated ability to read, understand and execute to written instruction.
  • Inspection Techniques – Proficient in visual, dimensional, and documentation‑based inspections. Experience using inspection tools. Ability to interpret tolerances and specifications.
  • Technical Communication – Ability to clearly communicate technical findings in verbal and written form.
