O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable manufacturing company to find their next Instrument Production Technician / Instrument Production Associate Technician. This position is based in Redding, CA.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow schematics and work instructions in a production environment.

Instrument Production Technician Qualifications
  • 1 year of instrument or equipment assembly experience for associate/entry level; 2–3 years for experienced level
  • High school diploma required; related college coursework, trade school, or Associate’s degree preferred
  • Experience with PCB assembly and electronic components preferred
  • General soldering experience; wiring harness experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude with hand, power, and electrical tools
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components and test/measurement equipment
  • Basic computer skills using Microsoft Windows and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and quality focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and solid work ethic
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and perform repetitive assembly tasks
  • Pull and follow job‑related work instructions
  • Assemble and test instruments, sub‑assemblies, and small tools
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical assembly
  • Build PCBs or PCB components at the experienced level
  • Verify proper identification and condition of fixtures and tooling
  • Report damaged tooling or fixtures to management
  • Ensure all work meets engineering and quality standards
  • Recommend tooling or equipment improvements
  • Print product labels and manuals and assemble product documentation
  • Perform quality checks on co‑workers’ work when applicable
  • Follow all company safety standards and manufacturing practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
