Staff RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the comprehensive delivery of both direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative environment, employing the nursing process across diverse patient demographics (neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults).

• Coordination of Care: Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, ensuring cohesive patient management.
• Leadership and Guidance: Direct and support the OR Technician and other personnel while upholding professional nursing practice.

  Engage with departments to facilitate seamless care and patient flow.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulations, standards, and hospital policies.
• Performance Improvement: Participate in performance improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and in-services.
• Resource Availability: Serve as a resource for colleagues, offering guidance and support as needed.

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate on hire and maintained.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) certification (AORN) — preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — preferred.

Shasta Regional Medical Center offers competitive compensation and benefits. The current compensation range for this role is $45.48 to $68.40 per hour. Exact starting compensation will be determined at hire based on factors such as skillset, experience, credentials, and licensure.
