Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care ICU travel position in California requiring a CA RN license and strong clinical skills.

• Position is based in the ICU unit of an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30
• 13-week travel assignment
• Responsible for direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provides patient and family education and directs activities of other nursing personnel
• Must respond rapidly and accurately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborates closely with physicians regarding patient status and clinical changes
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Local candidates will be considered at the same rate as travelers
• Coverage of required holidays and weekends may be expected based on scheduling needs
• Scrub and dress code information will be provided by the facility upon assignment

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care or ICU RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross required
• Workplace Violence Prevention (BVP) training or DCI certification required, with completion options through Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or CDC
