# Beds 14 beds/7 rooms
Charting System: CERNER
Ratios: 1:3
Required
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Common diagnoses/Types of patients:
Stepdown patients from ICU, TBI/trauma patients, major surgery, CEA, sepsis
Experience or 'Must have' skills:
Arterial and CVP pressure lines; titrating pressors; precedex; trach & stable vented patients
Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
Common titratable &/or set rate drips:
Precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, levophed
Shifts & Scheduling: 12
Hr shifts starting at 645am/pm. 3 shifts/week. Schedules made out about 2-3 weeks in advance initially and
then try to schedule them out 9 weeks in advance. Self-scheduling for the most part.
Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule,Days
- Sat/Sun, Nightsw
- Fri/Sat
Holiday Requirements:
Work into perm staff rotation
Is there call or a standby requirement? No
Floating Requirements:
First to float, float to Tele or Med Surg
