Exciting opportunity to join our new restaurant, Lucente Cucina, at the Holiday Inn Redding as a Restaurant Cook. We have Full Time and Part Time openings.

We require an experienced cook who is familiar with a wide range of cooking techniques, including poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. You must ensure that every order is cooked properly according to our standard recipes and that it fully satisfies our guests' demands and requests.

• Set up cooking stations and fill them with all of the essential preparation items for a shift
• Maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations
• Cook food orders at stations by following established recipes and presentation standards for grilling, broiling, and sautéing menu items
• Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates
• Adhere to established storage and waste control standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products to ensure quality food is served

• We prefer some experience working in the food service industry
• Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification such as a GED
• Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
• Must be able to meet all safety and sanitation requirements of kitchen equipment and food storage

$18 - $24 hourly

The Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center Redding is centrally located within Shasta County businesses and attractions, offering the perfect location for corporate and leisure travelers alike. The hotel has a little over 8,000 square feet of customizable event and meeting space.
