The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition & helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. The role creates exceptional value by delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high‑quality eyewear that exceeds customer expectations.

• Welcome all customers and set expectations.
• Custom‑fit glasses & precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen.
• Take & record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards & customer needs.
• Assist the team with complex product needs & prescriptions.
• Use technology accurately despite time pressure & customer volume; maintain exceptional product knowledge and use appropriate tools.
• Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward‑think, ensure customers are satisfied & expectations are exceeded, and remain solution‑driven.
• Multi‑task, prioritize & manage time with competing priorities.
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs & competencies.
• Take pride in store appearance, helping to keep the store clean, attractive & organized.
• Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrate safe work practices.
• Display resourcefulness, self‑motivation and a desire for continual learning, improvement & results.
• Adhere to company policies & procedures, including discounts, promotions & inventory management.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State Licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators.
• Embrace new technology & change.

• Previous customer service & retail experience.

Pay Range: $23.55 – $35.08 per hour. Employee pay is determined by geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. You may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
