The Market Development Representative is responsible for leading the sales efforts in his or her assigned market to achieve company objectives in the areas of quality new business acquisition and collaborating on new customer on‑boarding. The role is tasked with lead generation, conversion, funnel management, and implementing directed processes that grow and develop the customer base in an assigned geography. Travel up to 75% of the time may be required to prospect and close new customers.
The Market Development Representative will live in the assigned market and report to the Regional Leader.
- Attain market sales targets for lead generation, conversion of qualified new business, sales funnel, operator on‑boarding, and new item/initiative distribution in the service of convenience store
- Utilize all forms of lead‑generating practices (cold calls, referrals, networking etc.) and effectively qualify viable new business opportunities to obtain quality new locations
- Manage customer funnel and new store pipeline processes to ensure all processes are executed to achieve timely and successful onboarding
- Analyze data on past performance and future objectives to effectively plan and set goals for the assigned market
- Spend time in the field to achieve sales best‑practices as directed by KKF
- Solve practical challenges and identify a variety of concrete action steps in situations where limited standardization may exist
- Assist in training new Market Development Reps
- Work productively and effectively with all KKF Team Members to achieve sales goals and further KKF objectives
- Strong communication and negotiation skills

- Demonstrates collaborative skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally

- Remain calm under pressure and act in an ethical manner at all times
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years of field sales experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to travel overnight
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with Salesforce
