O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable company to find their next Service Technician. This position is based in Redding, CA. The ideal candidate will be experienced in cabling, fiber optics, security camera systems, access control, and low‑voltage troubleshooting, with strong problem‑solving abilities and a willingness to travel as needed.

Service Technician Compensation
  • $30 – $35 per hour

Service Technician Qualifications
  • Experience with cabling, fiber optics, camera systems, and access control (5 years preferred; 2+ years acceptable with proven competency)
  • Ability to correctly use hand tools, drills, and data testers
  • Knowledge of commercial door components and electronic locks
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic networking knowledge, including programming IP addresses (server setup knowledge is a plus)
  • Ability to travel periodically
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, and climb ladders
  • Ability to distinguish colors
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Must pass Live Scan upon hire
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass unscheduled drug tests
Service Technician Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair low‑voltage systems, including cameras, access control, fiber, and cabling
  • Perform troubleshooting and system diagnostics
  • Install, configure, and test electronic locks and commercial door components
  • Program IP addresses and assist with network‑based system setups
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure high‑quality work
  • Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned
