Job Overview
Capitol Helicopters Inc. is currently accepting resumes for a Fleet Mechanic. Qualified candidates must have mechanical experience on gas and diesel vehicles. Mechanics with a Commercial Drivers License are preferred. Job Requirements- Must be 18 or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must pass random drug/alcohol screening
- Class C Driver’s License or greater
- CDL preferred (California Driver License)
- Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs or more
- Previous mechanic experience
- Ability to organize, plan and execute projects with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair to light and heavy vehicles
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, drivetrain, powertrain systems
- Reports directly to the Fleet Manager
- Safely performs maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair or replace components
- Maintains communication with reporting supervisor for repair/inspection details
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
- Ensures equipment is clean and presentable
- Promote the use of the Safety Management System amongst peers as the path to achieving safety objectives
- Must maintain a professional image and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrates a willingness to excel and be proficient in the position
- Works collaboratively within a team; ability and willingness to adapt to evolving situations
- Works in accordance with company values, priorities, and goals and to adhere to company policies and procedures
- Establish and model high standards that guarantee exceptional quality and necessary attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and tolerate high stress levels while always maintaining professionalism
- Ability to travel to an offsite location for maintenance/repairs
- Ability to test drive all vehicles in the manner to ensure safe operation
