Legal Secretary – Family Department

Our client, a very reputable firm, is looking to appoint a Legal Secretary for their Family Department based in Redditch. You will be tasked with providing secretarial support and assistance. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced secretary to play a key role in assisting our client’s expert legal personnel within a friendly and supportive team environment.

• Audio and copy typing, emailing, photocopying, filing of letters, emails and documents
• Completing forms and drafting documents
• Running, managing and maintaining files on a case management system and following file procedures
• Speaking to clients and professional contacts, personally and by telephone, answering queries, giving information and making appointments
• Arranging appointments and managing fee earners' diaries
• Attending team meetings as required
• Covering reception as required

• Experience of working within the Legal Sector as a Secretary
• Experience and knowledge of Family Law
• Proven audio typing experience
• Knowledge of MS Office & Case Management Systems
• Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Strong organisational skills
• High attention to detail

Salary is £24,000 – £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Working Hours are Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm with 1 hour’s lunch.
