Salaried GP | Redditch Background

A forward-thinking training and teaching practice in Redditch is looking for a Salaried GP to join a well-supported clinical team. The practice has built one of the most robust multidisciplinary teams in the area, with directly employed Clinical Pharmacists easing the burden of medication reviews and administration for their GPs. Expect a genuinely manageable working day, with minimal home visits and protected time built in for coffee and colleague contact.

Location

The practice is based in Redditch, Worcestershire, close to the town centre and within easy reach of the M42. Birmingham is around 35 minutes by car, Worcester around 30 minutes, and Bromsgrove around 15 minutes, making this a realistic option for both local and relocating candidates.

The Practice
  • GP Training Practice, with registrars, medical students and nurse students routinely on placement
  • Large, directly employed multidisciplinary team including Clinical Pharmacists, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Associate support
  • Mid-sized practice with a strong partnership team and large salaried GP team
  • Strong staff retention, with many clinicians and support staff long-established at the practice
  • Specialist interests welcomed, including women's health, joint injections, minor surgery and dermatology
  • Rated Good by the CQC across all domains
Your Role
  • 4-8 sessions per week as a Salaried GP
  • Reasonable clinical workload (13 patients/session) with 15-minute appointments
  • Minimal home visits, with extra admin time allocated on days with none
  • Flexible start times and admin time built into every working day
  • Daily paid coffee break with colleagues
  • Weekly clinical teaching sessions, with the option to get involved in registrar teaching
Salary and Benefits
  • Circa £10,000 - £12,400 per session, depending on experience
  • BMA model contract
  • NHS Pension
  • 6 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays
  • 1 week study leave
  • Tier 2 sponsorship potentially available
