This role would suit an experienced and confident year 1 teacher who enjoys working within KS1 and understands the importance of a smooth transition from EYFS into Year 1. As a year 1 teacher, you will deliver engaging and creative lessons that support both academic progress and personal development. The school values collaboration, child-centred learning, and strong relationships with pupils and families.

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons as a year 1 teacher in line with the national curriculum.
• Taking full class responsibility for a Year 1 class.
• Supporting pupils with the transition from EYFS to KS1.
• Assessing, tracking, and reporting pupil progress.
• Creating a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Previous experience working as a year 1 teacher or within KS1.
• A nurturing, patient, and engaging teaching style.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
• A positive and professional attitude.
