Step Into Teaching are supporting a fantastic secondary school and looking for a graduate with a strong interest in education and student development to join a supportive team, working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant
.
You’ll gain hands‑on experience supporting SEND, SEMH, and struggling learners, working across the curriculum, helping them access learning and achieve their potential. This role is perfect if you’re considering a future in teaching, educational/child psychology, or educational support.
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Job Type: Full‑Time, Monday – Friday
Start Date: September 2026 Start – 26/27 Academic Year – interviews taking place from May!
Salary: £500–£530 per week, term time only
- Full-time position in a supportive secondary school
- Gain practical experience supporting students with SEND, SEMH, and learning difficulties

- Direct route into teacher training
- Support teachers across KS3/4 subjects
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support to boost learning outcomes
- Assist students in‑class, in behavioural or SEND settings
- Support learners with special educational needs and SEMH challenges
- Graduates or final‑year university students due to graduate in Summer 2026 with an expected 2:2 or above in any subject are encouraged to apply.
