Essential:

• Level 2 (at least) qualification in both Maths and English, or a willingness to gain.
• A degree or appropriate academic qualification.
• A recognised teaching qualification (or one must be obtained within a specified period).
• A recognised qualification relating to teaching learners with SEND, ie SpLD.

Desirable:

• Assessor qualification.
• Higher Degree qualification.

Essential:

• Relevant and recent experience of teaching SEN including SpLD Moderate to severe learning difficulties including non verbal learners.
• Delivering accredited and non-accredited (RARPA) learning and assessment.

Desirable:

• Other relevant experience in related industry.

Essential:

• Ability to develop new curriculum offers.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to use and develop information learning technology (ILT) to improve the learner experience.

Desirable:

• Knowledge and experience of a using a variety of awarding body qualifications e.g. Ascentis, City & Guilds, OCNWM, BTEC.

Essential:

• Patience, tolerance and the ability to work well with teams.
• Good observational skills
• Enthusiasm for teaching and supporting young people as well as adult learners.
• Demonstrate high aspirations for learners with SEND.

Desirable:

• Flexible and able to adapt in a changing environment.
