Job Title Supported Internship and Work Placement Supervisor - SEN Closing Date 09/08/2026 23:59 Pay Actual salary: £6,293 - £6,858 based on 7.4 Hours x 52 Weeks. Starting salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Hours 7.4 Hours (1 day per week) x 52 Weeks Type Part Time

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

To become a Supported Internship and Work Placement Supervisor in our SEN department, we need someone who is experienced, enthusiastic and has the ability to inspire, motivate and engage young people.

The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

This position is based primarily at our Redditch campus but all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

To find a more detailed list of your day-to‑day responsibilities, please refer to the key roles and accountabilities section on our Job Description. You will support in many aspects, to name a few:

  • Deliver high‑quality, engaging foundation skills teaching using appropriate resources, ILT and classroom strategies.
  • Plan and deliver lessons, schemes of work and assessments that support learner progress and meet course requirements.
  • Assess learner work, portfolios and practical skills in line with awarding‑body standards.
  • Provide learners with guidance on improving behaviour, achievement and progression.
  • Work collaboratively with SEN lecturers and delivery staff to ensure consistent, high‑quality provision.
  • Contribute to SEN course quality assurance, accreditation requirements and continuous resource development.
  • Liaise with parents/carers to support learner progress and share updates.
  • Support learners to access all learning activities, including community events such as Job Fairs.
  • Organise, monitor and review work experience placements for Skills for Work and Supported Internship learners.
  • Ensure learners have appropriate protective equipment and understand safe working practices.
  • Maintain accurate learner records, placement documentation, risk assessments and administrative requirements.
  • Develop and maintain placement databases and files accessible to staff.
