Your Role

We have an opportunity for a Level 6 Degree Apprentice Civil Engineer to join our Apprentice Programme in our Civil Engineering team based in Redditch. You will be joining a diverse and highly skilled team of Water Engineers and Modellers who are solving some of the industry’s toughest challenges. This role is a true blend of technical learning and real‑world delivery.

You Will Learn To

• Design detailed drawings and technical models for critical infrastructure projects, including clean and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, and pipeline networks.
• Use industry software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS to map and visualise solutions.
• Contribute to sustainable solutions – from concept to delivery – that reduce environmental impact and future‑proof water supplies, such as flood risk reduction schemes or Nature‑based Solutions.
• Assist Senior Engineers across the project lifecycle and collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to deliver innovative solutions.

Our apprenticeships allow you to learn whilst you earn while you study for a Level 6 degree in Civil Engineering at Coventry University on block release.

Qualifications (Entry Requirements)

• GCSEs:
  At least 5 GCSEs with a grade 5/6 (B) or above in Maths and English Language. Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths are also accepted. This must satisfy the GCSE entry requirements and one of the following:
• UCAS tariff: 112 points minimum.
• B Level: BBC, with mathematics at grade B or above and one other analytical subject (grade B).
• Analytical subjects can include physics, biology, chemistry, computer science, further mathematics, and design and technology.
• BTEC (Level 3) Extended Diploma with Merit in Mathematics and Further Mathematics in Construction Units (entry to Coventry University).
• Scottish Highers: 4 SQA Higher – A, B, B, B, including Mathematics.
• Irish Leaving Certificate: H3, H3, H3, H3, H3, H4 (at least H3 for Mathematics and one other analytical science).
• International Baccalaureate: 32 points/655, HL 5 in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) and HL 5 in another science subject.
