Technical Account Manager

The company is an established and leading manufacturer of products and systems for industries such as defence, rail, automotive and marine.

We are recruiting a Sales Engineer for our operations in the Redditch area.

Salary: £35,000–£45,000 per annum.

Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am – 1:30 pm.

The main responsibility of the role is to carry out effective technical account management, accurate quotations and technical drawing support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical engineering background, extensive CAD experience and excellent communication skills.

• Be the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, continuously ensuring customer satisfaction and retaining existing clients.
• Understand client requirements, applications and provide extensive technical engineering support.
• Prepare detailed quotations based on client specifications and project scope.
• Ensure quotations align with company pricing structure.
• Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for growth.
• Follow up support on quotations.
• Create and modify CAD technical drawings.
• Coordinate internally with engineering, production and logistics teams to ensure smooth and accurate delivery of solutions.

• Proven experience in a technical engineering role such as sales engineer, project manager or technical sales.
• Sound CAD expertise.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to deliver presentations internally and externally.
• Pro‑active, good problem‑solving abilities.
• Able to visit client sites (approximately once a month) and travel when required.
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems is advantageous.

The company is based in Redditch and is commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Alcester, Solihull, Worcester, Droitwich, Dudley, Stratford upon Avon and Evesham.
