Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk – Immediate Start

On-Site | Monday–Friday (Half Day Friday) | 3–4 Month Contract (Sick cover), could be longer and there is always a possibility of being made permanent

We need an experienced Purchase Ledger professional who can step straight in and take ownership.

This is a temporary role (sick cover) within a fast-paced, product-based business. You must be confident managing high volumes and working independently, this is not a role for juniors or anyone requiring training.

What You’ll Be Doing

• 3-way matching (PO / GRN / Invoice)
• GRNI management & variance investigation
• Payment runs (electronic payments) (BACS/CHAPS)
• Staff expenses & company credit cards
• Daily bank postings
• Accrual support & month-end assistance
• Resolving supplier queries quickly and effectively
• Supplier statement and bank reconciliations
• Credit card reconciliations
• Supporting month-end processes
• Maintaining tight financial controls and accurate records

What We’re Looking For

• Solid, proven Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable experience
• Used to working in high-volume, fast-moving environments (distribution / wholesale / supply chain-led sectors preferred)
• Strong reconciliation skills
• SAP experience highly desirable
• Self-sufficient, proactive and able to hit the ground running
• Immediately available or short notice

This role is fully on-site Monday to Friday
, with a half-day finish every Friday
